Notice to Mariners

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CUMBERLAND BASIN LOCK GATES – 04/07/25

We regret to inform you that due to a malfunction in one of our outer lock gates, we will be operating at a reduced locking capacity for the next four weeks. This will unfortunately affect the locking service for vessels attending the Harbour Festival from the sea.

We kindly ask that you inform your club members who have booked to attend the festival that we may need to adjust their lock booking times and dates. Please have them contact the Watch House at 0117 9273633 over the weekend to discuss their booking and any accommodations we can make to ensure their attendance at the event. If there is no answer, please leave a name and number so we can return their call.

For more details, please refer to the local Notice to Mariners 22/25 (see below), ‘Reduced Operation of Cumberland Basin Lock Gates,’ which explains the issues we are currently experiencing.
