Swansea Bay Lord Mayor's Regatta

The BCYC, in conjunction with City and County of Swansea, will be hosting the Swansea Bay Lord Mayor’s Regatta on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April 2026.

Following the success of the the BCYC’s 150th Anniversary sailing programme, Swansea’s Lord Mayor, Cheryl Philpott, is excited to work with the BCYC to reinvigorate “big boat” racing in Swansea Bay, recognising the area’s sporting, cultural and industrial heritage.

Racing will be open to IRC and YTC rated yachts and could be an ideal warm up for May’s Shanghai and Nimrod Cups (9th and 10th May at Portishead, and 23rd and 24th May at Cardiff).
