Correspondence
707 Association boat to be removed from site by 31st March 2025.
Cardiff Cruisers Boatyard Planning Permission application discussed.
Recent disposal of club assets was discussed (bar furniture). Agreed a new Club policy was required regarding the
disposal of minor and major assets taking into account that staff/CoM have a right to manage the day-to-day activities
Actions carried forward
A Structural Engineer will asses the Catamaran trailer within the next few weeks.
Daniel Whelan had died on 27th January 2023 and that his share is bound by the terms of his estate. To be progressed after AGM on 30th April.
Commodore’s Review
Clubhouse redevelopment is on schedule for completion in April. AGM has been rescheduled to 30th April.
Overflow carpark will be available once more from 17th March, with a new entrance gate to be installed in due course.
Clubhouse dress code will be communicate in the coming mouth.
General Managers Report
New website has been launched. Discussed whether a private TARS Facebook page should be accessible through the website, this will be discussed further in the next meeting.
Berthing Renewals are now well underway with a positive response.
Agreed a Payment Plan will b formulated in April for large wooden boat in the Boatyard.
Health & Safety
Cardiff Bay Aqua Park has now moved premises from Cardiff Bay to Cosmeston. The reason for this move has been motivated by poor water quality in Cardiff Bay.
Treasurers Report
Ahead of budget for the fiscal year.
Training Secretary
Three year rolling replacement programme in place for any craft owned by CBYC.
Sailing Secretary
Three concerns regarding lack of temporary disabled toilet facilities. No local supplier able to supply.
University 707 group is yet to confirm agreement with CBYC.
Membership Secretary
New members procedure to be introduced following AGM.
Long Boat booking system to be introduced.
Social Secretary
Discussed Clubhouse re-launch.
Fishing Report
AGM on 5th April.

Shortlist of Bar & Restaurant names provided to CoM.
Concerns raised about location of Club Documents on website; RW and HB to discuss in their next meeting.
Temporary closure of Ice Rink carpark has caused chaos with some club member cars being damaged.
Discussion of auto berthing renewal.
Date of next meeting scheduled for 21st April 2025 at 18:30.
HANSA 303 Sprint Challenge
DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRUCUMSTANCES THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY POSTPONED.
WE WILL RESCHEDULE AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE - Please keep checking for regular updates.
This fun event is open to ages eight and up, with up to twenty teams competing in a partial round-robin format.
Six Hansa 303 boats will race at a time.
Teams of up to four will race in pairs or individually, but not all members will compete in every race.
Rankings are based on the lowest average points.
