Youth RYA Powerboat Level 2

About the Course

The RYA Powerboat level 2 course is effectively the driving licence of power boating. Once you are a holder of this qualification you can apply for the ICC (International Certificate of Competence) that allows you to hire boats abroad, it is also a pre requisite to becoming a sailing instructor. We teach our course in a verity of boats from planing to displacement craft as well as console and tiller. We try to tailor what boats we use depending on the reasons people do the course. The course includes:

  • Launching and Recovery
  • Securing to a Bouy
  • Anchoring
  • Leaving and Coming Alongside
  • Man Overboard
  • Costal
  • Boat handling a slow and fast speed

The course is mixed practical and theory.
