TARS rESULTS 8TH fEBRUARY 2024




TARS sailors are an intrepid bunch but only two boats made it on the water for the first race of the year, the remainder preferred the warmth of the bar. One who will remain nameless even turned up with a sick note!

The weather was horrible: wet, no wind and generally murky. It took over a minute for the lead boat to cross the line after the staring signal, the second followed about 10 minutes later. Some 70 minutes later, 1 lap had been completed. An excellent introduction to TARS sailing for Graham Elder in Sabina, a Moody 31S. As usual she has been given a starter Cardiff Bay Rating that will be updated after 4 races. This enabled to to take the lead in the series on corrected time, just!
